PhD in physiology in the Department of Physiology at University of Toronto in the Program in Neuroscience.

Research at the School of Optometry, UC Berkeley (2003-2007), at Rutgers University Newark in the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neurosciences (2007-2010), at Westfälische-Wilhelms-Universiät in Münster in the Psychologisches Institut (2010-2014) (including teaching in the Master's program) and at the Max-Planck-Institute for Neurological Research in Cologne (2014-2017).

Freelance author and lecturer since then.
